Trigger Point Therapy

,

Trigger Point Therapy: Active trigger points are continuous contraction knots in the muscles. These knots are so tight that circulation decreases in the immediate area of the knot. Pain is radiated outward to other muscles when pressure is applied to the trigger point or, in a more severe condition, when the muscle is at rest. Headaches, joint pain, neck pain, low back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, and numbness in the hands and feet are just a few of the symptoms that can be caused by trigger points. Trigger point therapy applies direct pressure to theses knots and flushes the tissue so that trigger points can release.
